As a young girl, I kept a collection of neatly stacked books and magazines at the end of my upper level bunk bed. Every night, I devoured story after story and issue after issue of ym, American Girl and National Geographic Kids. As I got older, the titles changed to Teen Vogue, InStyle and Cosmopolitan. One day, I swore, my own name would grace magazine pages and book covers.

Over the past ten years, two aspects of my life have remained constant. The first is my height (as evidenced by this picture of me with my two younger - and taller - siblings). The second is my constant urge to write. I love every part of the writing process: researching, learning, exploring, creating, perfecting. Every piece I've written has confirmed what I've known since I was a rebellious night-owl of a little girl: I want writing to be the foundation of my career, and it is my goal to someday contribute to a women's or lifestyle publication.

Of course, I do more than write. I love to run and try out new forms of exercise. I finished my first half marathon in Philly this past November, and am working towards completing a full one. I'm a self-proclaimed beauty junkie and style fanatic, and I love trying out new trends, whether I see them on the street or in magazines. Fun fact? I can do a mean Irish jig, having been a competitive Irish dancer for over half my life, and have competed in the world championships for Irish music on the wooden flute and tin whistle. Other than Ireland, though, I haven't seen much of the world. There's a long list of countries I want to explore and I can't wait to see what the world (outside of the Northeast U.S.) has to offer. I love keeping busy, but I can never say no to a road trip, coffee date, or frozen yogurt with friends - any time of day!

Writer. Runner. Dancer. Adventurer.
